Ana de Lara is a Filipina-Canadian actor and stand-up comic turned filmmaker, who has won over 30 accolades for her films and screenplays in North America and Europe.
She wrote, directed, and produced a number of award-winning short films. GOOD GIRLS DON'T, won 14 festival prizes, including Best Director at Broad Humor FF; the Spirit Award at Reel Sisters of the Diaspora FF; Best Comedy and Best Screenplay at Asians on Film; and the Matrix Award at Vancouver Women in Film IFF.
De Lara has also produced two features, ALL-IN MADONNA and OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS, which earned her nominations, respectively, for the 2020 CMPA Emerging Producer Award and the 2020 Best Picture Leo Award.
